Creative Leader Richard Eber Joins o2kl

NEW YORK - Feb. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- New York, New York, February 24, 2015 -- Richard Eber, a creative leader in the CRM and advertising industry for over 25 years, has joined o2kl, an innovative agency based in New York, announced the agency’s principals, Tracey Owens, John Kopilak, Danny Klein and Jim Lurie.

A leader in the creative community for over 25 years at Ogilvy & MRM//McCann, Richard's expertise spans all disciplines and all media, including Digital, Social, eCRM, TV, video and print. Because of his experience, he has been asked to judge numerous international awards shows including Cannes, ECHO and Caples.

Richard has won over 25 ECHO Awards including the Diamond ECHO, plus he has won a Gold Cannes Lion, the Irving Wunderman Lifetime Achievement Award and numerous Caples, Effies and Mobius Awards.

Part of Richard’s success stems from his belief that no matter how complex a situation may be, there is always a simple, compelling solution. This philosophy has helped him lead major businesses as diverse as IBM to I HOP, Avis to Plavix, finance to non-profit.  He believes that it is this diversity in businesses, audiences, and his own personal interests that keeps him and his teams fresh and open to exciting ideas across categories and media.

For the past 6 years, Richard has run the MRM// McCann creative department in Princeton, and helped the office evolve their technology driven marketing solutions. Accounts included ORENCIA, Plavix, Sprycel, Lunesta as well as Avis, Applebee’s, I HOP, ETS, and 21st Century Insurance.

Before coming to MRM, Richard spent 10 years at Ogilvy & Mather Direct, where he ran AT&T, Time-Life and IBM. His expertise in TV and print won many awards, and he was brought to MRM to be the Executive Creative Director in NY. There, he worked on GM, Buick, Sprint, Chase, Smith Barney and Microsoft. He also helped pioneer Unbranded Pharma advertising with his award winning Amgen campaign – a campaign for NEUPOGEN that Wall Street credited with the sole rise in Amgen stock that year.

Richard has a BA in Journalism from NYU, and has been through Rutgers’ Mini MBA Program in Social Media. He likes to travel and is a photographer who has exhibited his work in galleries in Manhattan and throughout New Jersey.
