Nashville Indie Hip-Hop Artist ShaManic Breaks Out From Mental Institution To Release Debut Album

Feb. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- After four years of honing his natural poetic abilities, Nashville born rapper ShaManic, will release his debut album THE ARTIST on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 on Classy Turtle Records. Born and raised in the heart of America’s music capital, ShaManic’s Nashville upbringing provided him with the diverse influences and inspiration that would eventually give birth to his rich, poetic alternative hiphop sound.

“Growing up in Nashville, it’s kind of impossible not to fall in love with music. I wanted to be involved. It was sure true for me,” ShaManic explains. “My music is more hiphop than anything else, but growing up I listened to everything: country, rock, R&B…you can definitely hear that influence in my songs, I’m always trying to incorporate something new.”

This expressive album chronicles ShaManic’s inner struggles that led to the dark periods in his life and his triumphs over debilitating health issues. THE ARTIST includes his acclaimed singles Badadada, Mindless and the emotionally powerful Mr. Anderson. Listeners of the album will take notice of his dynamic beats, diverse melodies and passionate vocals, while taking you on a journey of his pain, joy and experimentation throughout ShaManic’slife as a child and as an adult, for example:

“One of the things that really drew me to hiphop and rap is that it’s so focused on the words. I’ve been into poetry my whole life and this allowed me to combine poetry, music and storytelling into a single art form,” says ShaManic as he describes his creative process.
