DROITWICH SPA, U.K. - Feb. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- More people than ever need to protect their properties from floods, so they’ve worked closely with their sister company, Flood Angel, to develop the industry-leading Flood Defender Door.

To meet demand, they’ve not only stepped-up production with a new factory, but have launched a certified Door Installation Training course. The two-day course is aimed at independent building/construction companies and individuals who have already undertaken and successfully passed the BPEC accredited three-day ‘Stage One’ Flood Professionals course.

The qualification will enable installers to add another string to their bow, and take advantage of the massive increase in demand for the Flood Defender Door.

All training, both practical and theory is at their purpose-built training centre in Worcestershire.

Cliff Arnold, Managing Director, UK Flood Barriers said:

We’ve already trained and certified 40 companies to install Flood Angel defence products, but the Defender Door requires a bespoke training programme.

“Five companies have already successfully completed the course, with spaces reserved for 10 more.

“We’re confident the course will benefit both home and business owners, who will get doors installed by certified local companies, but also installers, who can boost their bottom line.”

UKFB has completed over 60 Property Level Flood Protection schemes for local authorities across the country, as well as on the Environment Agency’s Framework 24428.  Its recommended Kitemarked flood defence products, manufactured by Flood Angel, include the Flood Defender single and double barriers and the Flood Defender Door.  Other products include anti-flood airbricks, anti-flood airbrick covers and sewage defence products, such as non-return valves, backwater valves and toilet bungs.
