Peace in the Streets Global Film Festival to be Featured on Positive Spin’s National Telecast

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. - Feb. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- The 2014 Peace in the Streets Global Film Festival award winners’ film “Trip to the United Nations” will air on  Positive Spin Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22 on DISH Network and DirecTV.  The program reaches 37 million homes in the United States. Positive Spin also streams live from the FreeSpeech TV website allowing anyone around the world to view the program.

The Peace in the Streets Global Film Festival (PSGFF) provides a platform for young filmmakers 18 and younger from around the world and empowers them to showcase what THEY would do to keep peace in the streets.  PSGFF invites young people with access to any smart phone, iPad or other camera/video device to make and submit a short film of 1-5 minutes showing their perspective of what it means to keep peace in their streets. The 2015 submission deadline is July 31st. Submit to www.psgff.com. Peacemaker Corps Association believes peace is a human right and PSGFF enables the sharing of ideas, innovative approaches and individual voices with one another in their quest for a better world.

Air times on DISH Network (Channel 9415) and DirecTV (Channel 348) will be Saturday, February 21 at 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM  and Sunday, February 22 at 1:30 AM and 8:00 AM (PST).  FreeSpeech TV website can be found at www.freespeech.org.

The Peace in the Streets Global Film Festival (PSGFF) is in association with the Peacemaker Corps Association (PCA),www.peacemakercorps.org, a 501(c)(3) official Non-Governmental Organization affiliated with the United Nations. The PCA has reached over 100,000 teens since its launch 17 years ago. The Peacemaker Corps mission is to facilitate and support peace while educating tolerance among the youth of the world. The over-riding concept for the PSGFF grew out of the mission of the PCA, a civil-society entity, committed to teaching the youth of the world to live a peaceful non-violent life while making a positive contribution to society. If we change one youth each day, then we will take a step forward toward global peace.
