Dr. Mollie Spire Named Young Professional of the Year

Dr. Mollie Spire, a Family Medicine Physician at Total Access Urgent Care, was recently named by the Razzle Dazzle Committee as the Young Professional Hero of the Year for the Hugs and Kisses Award.

Feb. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Dr. Mollie Spire, Medical Director of Total Access Urgent Care in St. Charles, will be recognized as the Young Professional Hero of the Year for the Hugs and Kisses Award. This honor comes from the Razzle Dazzle committee and is indicative of Dr. Spire’s immense contributions to the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery.

Dr. Spire began taking steps toward a career in medicine after receiving encouragement from her hometown physician. When she graduated from the University of Missouri with degrees in Biology and Chemistry, Dr. Spire went on to attend the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences.

She completed a Family Medicine Residency program at the University of California in Irvine and worked in community health for seven years. She used her knowledge and skill to care for a medically underserved population, while honing her proficiencies in the management of complex medical conditions.

Dr. Spire is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician serving as the Medical Director for Total Access Urgent Care’s sixth location. She consistently delivers compassionate and competent care to her patients and applies this same approach to her work at the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery.

The Saint Louis Crisis Nursery first opened in 1986 with the goal of preventing child abuse. Since inception, the nursery has expanded to five locations and admits nearly 7,000 children each year. To celebrate its success and raise money for program funding, the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery annually hosts the Razzle Dazzle Ball.

The Razzle Dazzle Ball will be held on March 28 at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet. The fundraiser is an outstanding way to support future endeavors; in addition to applauding exceptional women and men who have volunteered time and resources to make the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery a resource and voice for children.

If you are interested in attending the Razzle Dazzle Ball, please visit the Saint Louis Crisis Nursery’s website (http://www.crisisnurserykids.org/) to reserve your tickets. Admission is $150 per person and will include mouth-watering food, exquisite desserts, live entertainment, and both live and silent auctions.
