Pet Friendly House Project Aims to Make Living with Pets a Lot Better

An amazing house designed, constructed and decorated with pets in mind

CALGARY, Alberta - Feb. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Pet Ownership is one of the most rewarding and challenging roles one can take on. Most would agree taking in a furry companion is worth every headache they bring because they give us unconditional love and bring lots of joy into a home.

In fact, study after study has shown that owning a pet can even improve your health. Some are even specially trained to help people with special needs or medical challenges. For these people, a pet is so much more than a part of the family—they’re a lifeline that allows people to live as normally as possible.

No matter why you have chosen to share your home with a pet, there are some downsides besides the usual vet bills and other new expenses: damage to your home. Our furry companions scratch up the furniture, do their business where they are not supposed to, and other things. So how do you get all the love and companionship while minimizing the risks of smelly carpets, scratched floors, and other damage?

One company has set out to design a house that can withstand anything a furry friend can throw at it. Professor’s House new project will not only withstand the wear and tear, but give each pet the pampering it deserves.

Construction on the first model will be handled by Alair Homes in Alberta, Canada. The construction is scheduled to kick off this year. With over 2400 square feet and four bedrooms, the houses will offer plenty of room and amenities. Some of these features will include a dog shower, a built-in aquarium, laminate and tile floors, and much more. All products in the home are specially made to address common pet-related damage, as well as allergies.

The best part of the pet-friendly home is a special room that truly makes your furry friend part of the family. It is filled with custom-made pet beds and other furniture, a doggy treadmill to keep your dog fit and healthy when it’s too cold or wet to go out for long, and even features a flat-screen perfect for playing DOGTV. The new network was created with the help of vets and other professionals to keep Fido entertained and comforted when you’re at work. It also includes a wardrobe for pet parents who love dressing their fur babies.

Professor’s House is so confident in their Pet-Friendly House project, they are going to put it to the test. A special event will be held to showcase the home and over 130 products aimed at pets, artwork, and other special surprises. The highlight will be when the team unleashes a bunch of dogs who have been allowed to get filthy to push the house to its limits. They are sure the walls, flooring, and other parts of the house can take it!

The Pet-Friendly House project is about much more than pet pampering and taking some of the headache out of pet-ownership. It’s also a charitable effort close to Professor’s House founder David Beart. Having been saved by a Kidney transplant, the company will be donating proceeds to The Kidney Foundation of Canada as well as other charities that benefit animals and children with autism.
