Follow on Google News | Call For Papers & Tutorials: IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop 2016By: IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop Papers selected and approved by the ESW Technical Program Committee, will be presented either in a 45-minute slide show or poster format during the workshop. Case Studies can focus on “what went right” or “lessons learned” and will be presented during the workshop in 15-minute slide show presentation format. Tutorials are in-depth, multi-hour instructional sessions that have previously qualified for CEU credits. Proposals are due no later than April 1, 2015. Please visit http://ewh.ieee.org/ The next Electrical Safety Workshop will be held March 7-11, 2016 in Jacksonville, Florida. According to Dennis Hill, the 2016 Organizing Committee Chairman, “It’s the perfect location for the workshop’s 24th year. We expect another record turn-out with leaders from around the world participating in this electrical safety community.” Since 1991, the IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop (ESW) has been a source of groundbreaking papers and research that have shaped today’s electrical work practices and electrical safety standards (such as NFPA 70E and CSA Z462). Ken White, the ESW Technical Program Chair, explains “we have been fortunate to have attracted a consistently high quality of presenters and papers over the years. At the recent Louisville ESW, we had 22 Technical Presentations, 19 Focus (poster) Presentations, 6 four-hour Tutorials, and 5 case studies. Topics ranged from statistical analyses, arc flash calculation models, the evolving role of risk assessment in the standards, and the role of leadership in electrical safety programs. The diversity and range of papers is one of the reasons why this conference is rated as a ‘must attend’ by so many industry leaders.” About the IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop: The next IEEE IAS Electrical Safety Workshop will be held March 7-11, 2016, in sunny Jacksonville, Florida, USA.
