MedAware Systems, Inc. files comprehensive patent on its medical data service

BROOMFIELD, Colo. - Feb. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- MedAware Systems, Inc., a company focused on the aggregation and analysis of biomedical research data for physicians and patients announced today that it has filed an international patent application, under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), covering a number of claims on its processes for acquiring, standardizing, searching, and analyzing medical research data generated through human clinical trials. The PCT application number PCT/US15/15858 was assigned by the US Patent Office.

The core aspect of this patent application is the design and population of a highly reliable and accurate database. With proprietary software developed by the Company, and included as a claim, the Company expects to achieve near 100% accuracy. There are also claims related to providing users the ability to quickly and precisely access the biomedical research and, based on the user’s search criteria, a pooled output of standardized data are instantly, efficiently, and reliably provided.

The Company recognized that it is virtually impossible for physicians and their patients to keep current with respect to comprehensive evidence-based information on treatments and outcomes due to the sheer volume of published research data and the variety and complexity of how that data is obtained and reported.

The MedAware Systems subscription service will aggregate this vast amount of data, standardize them, make them accurately and precisely searchable based on patient and disease profile filters, and allow the user to pool and analyze treatment and outcome data from an unlimited number of studies.  This meta-analysis feature makes it possible to instantly identify trends in large volumes of data, which serves to mitigate against the seeming contradictions in reported patient outcomes from one study to the next.
