Epiphany Glass Studio Expands Staff With New Artist And Marketing Manager

Mark VandenBerg will join the glassblowing team of artists as a master gaffer and Abby Groth will serve as communications and marketing manager. The announcement was made by studio owner/artist April Wagner.

PONTIAC, Mich. - Feb. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- VandenBerg brings more than two decades of experience in glassblowing and flameworking to his role with the epiphany glass team.  He will work with owner/artist April Wagner to develop new products for the StudioE and epiphany glass lines and to continue production and re-introduction of existing and classic pieces designed by Wagner.  Currently, VandenBerg also works as an independent artist at his studio, The Juice Box, located in Detroit.  Previously, he led the glassblowing team at The Henry Ford in Dearborn Michigan.  VandenBerg holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and also received scholarships to Pilchuck Glass School in Washington and The Studio of The Corning Museum of Glass in New York.  He is a resident of Dearborn, Mich.

In her new role, Groth will develop content for social media outlets, assist with marketing campaigns for glass artist April Wagner and prepare product images and information for online selling platforms promoting the epiphany glass and StudioE lines.  Groth brings a strong background in art history and operations to epiphany glass.  She is currently an art history teacher for online courses through Concordia University Nebraska, and recently taught art history at the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit.  Groth also served as the Operations Manager at the Center for Liturgical Art in Seward, Nebraska.  She holds a bachelor’s degree in art history and communications from Valparaiso University and a master’s in art history from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  Groth is from Champaign, Ill.  and now resides in Farmington Hills, Mich.
