Author Bryan Alaspa Announced Release Date for New Novel, YA Series

CHICAGO - Feb. 16, 2015 - PRLog -- Thriller and adventure author Bryan W. Alaspa has announced that his new novel, The Lightning Weaver, is now available for pre-order for Kindle and Kindle App users. The actual publication date for the novel is March 3, 2015. The novel is the first in a planned four-part young adult adventure series called The Elementals and will be available exclusively for Kindle and in print formats for 90 days before a wider release to all e-reading devices.

“I’ve been working on this one for a long time and I am excited that the novel is finally ready for people to read,” Mr. Alaspa said from his offices in suburban Chicago. “I had a first draft of this one done almost two years ago and have worked hard to make sure it’s ready for publication. The response to it from beta readers has been very positive and I’m excited to share this adventure with readers.”

The Lightning Weaver tells the story of a young girl named Katie Albright who is always being struck by lightning from thunderstorms and coming away unscathed. She soon finds out that she and her family are from a species of humans known as Elementals. Katie can control the electromagnetic field of the earth itself for a variety of effects. What she soon finds out is that there is an evil contingent among the Elementals and a group of people known as The Organization who want to turn Elementals into weapons. A war is coming, and now Katie is right on the front lines.

The second part of the series, The Lord of Winter, has a first draft written already and Mr. Alaspa plans on doing the edits and rewrites later in 2015 for either a late 2015 or early 2016 release. The third novel in the series, The Water Witch will come either late 2016 or early 2016. The final part of the story, The Firedrake, will come out sometime after that.

“It’s going to be a great adventure, I think,” continued Mr. Alaspa. “It pays homage to my days of being a comic book fan. I hope people like it and stick with me for the entire four-novel series.”

This is Mr. Alaspa’s second venture into young adult novels, with the first one being the ghostly romance thriller, Sapphire.
