Hershey teen Rory Ogden to star in the new feature film “Impure”

Shooting to begin in Harrisburg this summer

February 9, 2015 – (Harrisburg, PA) Teen actor Rory Ogden, a lifelong resident of Hershey, PA, is slated to star in the new feature film Impure, written by Harrisburg resident Lamar Kukuk.

Impure tells the story of troubled Dinah Jones (Ogden) who endures unbearable abuse by her parents, portrayed by noted actors Karen-Eileen Gordon (The Glades, Magic City) and Bill Oberst, Jr. (Criminal Minds, 1000 Ways to Die). At school Dinah is often the butt of cruel jokes and the subject of bullying. Out of desperation and sheer will to survive, Dinah is forced to make radical changes in her life – much to the detriment of her tormentors.

Impure also stars Lamar Kukuk, the film’s writer, as Dinah’s apathetic uncle, and features several other residents of Harrisburg, including: Lisa Budwig; Jessica Gondwe; Robert Haag; David North; Jerry Pietrala; and Jacob Schmitt, as well as actors from the Philadelphia and Reading areas.

Rory is no stranger to the screen. Previously she starred in the short film Just a Kid, in which she portrayed Julie, the younger sibling looking to mend the broken heart of her big brother Edward. She also portrayed the friend of a playmate whose mother suffers a miscarriage in Letters; and was seen as a young mental patient in the award-winning short film The Patient, which was also filmed in Harrisburg.

Other roles include NBC’s Deception and Do No Harm.
