$10,000 Sturgeon Spearing Contest!

OSHKOSH, Wis. - Feb. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Badger Sportsman Magazine will give $10,000 to the paid subscriber that spears the biggest sturgeon for the 2015 season.  The contest is open to all sturgeon spearing tag holders that are also current paid subscribers as well as any new subscriber as of 7:00 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2015.  Sturgeon spearing season starts on February 14^th at 7:00 a.m. and will run until March 1^st or until the quota of sturgeon have been met.   The eligible winning sturgeon can be taken on Lake Winnebago or the upriver lakes of Buttes des Morts or Poygan. Sturgeon must be taken by both a registered sturgeon spearing tag holder and paid subscriber during open sturgeon spearing hours in order to be eligible for the prize.

Thousands of fishermen/women, and outdoor enthusiasts from around Wisconsin and the Midwest travel to Oshkosh and area in hopes of getting a glimpse of one of these pre-historic  torpedo shaped fish.  This year, one lucky fisherman will have a chance at a $10,000 bonus.
