Boardcon released a quad-core Embedded-computer runs Android 4.4 KitKat

Feb. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- After the release of quad-core card size board Compact 31S based on Allwinner A31s quad-core phablet processor, Boardcon announced the launch of its another quad-core SBC Android4412, an Android-ready powered by Cortex A9 SoC targets Embedded & Industrial Applications.

Android4412 SBC is built around the Samsung Exynos4412 system-on-chip featuring an advanced Cortex-A9 ARM CPU coupled with a Mali-400 MP4 GPU. The SBC is composed of the carrier board and Computer-on-Module which are connected using two standard 70-pin connectors. Separating the complexity involved in a hardware design onto the COM allows for cost effective customization when required, and allows for a flexible upgrade path for the future.

Incorporating both onboard 4GB eMMC flash and 1GB DDR3 memory, the Android4412 SBC also features the latest high-performance interfaces including 10/100M Ethernet, HDMI 1.4, HS-SPI and MIPI. Other peripherals are included USB host & OTG, LCD, UART, SD Card, ADC/PWM and so on.

Android4412 SBC functional contents are similar to the latest generation of MID and PAD, including all types of wireless, Camera and HD I/O found in today's state-off-the-art mobile devices, in the meanwhile, the dev board supports Android 4.0 and Android 4.4 KitKat OS.

Designed with a rich feature set, Android4412 SBC focuses on the high-demand automotive infotainment (IVI) and telemetric market. The combination of performance and power also makes it suitable for applications such as Advanced HMI, Video and Navigation, Portable Medical devices, Digital signage and Single Board SOC Computing. Android4412 SBC can improve time to market, reduce cost and risk of integration and streamline development processes.
