Sheriff's Deputies arrest two after inter-state pursuit

 
AZTEC, N.M. - Feb. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- San Juan County, NM – On 1/30/15 SJC Deputies were notified that La Plata County Deputies were in a pursuit that was headed to New Mexico. The pursuit started after a vehicle failed to stop after being involved in a hit and run crash in Durango. The driver of the vehicle drove recklessly as it was fleeing in the wrong lane of traffic forcing other vehicles off of the road and running through a school zone at 90mph. Colorado Highway Patrol was able to slow the pursuit down after deploying stop sticks. The vehicle continued to flee into New Mexico and stopped in the area of the state line Giant gas station. The driver fled on foot was later taken into custody. The female passenger was also taken into custody.

Jake Alexander's charges;

Aggravated fleeing a law enforcement officer; Driving while intoxicated; Resisting, Evading, or obstructing an officer; Open container; suspended drivers license; No insurance and probation hold and Out-of-state fugitive due stemming from a warrant issued by La Plata County Deputies. He is being held on no bond.

Marsha Armstrong’s charges;

Out-of-state fugitive stemming from a warrant issued by La Plata County Deputies she is being held on no bond.
