AlphaOne Successfully Concludes Another Community Drive on ‘World Cancer Day’

AMRITSAR, India - Feb. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- On the occasion of World Cancer Day, February 04, 2015, AlphaOne in association with Life Care Hospitalsuccessfully concluded another community drive by offering free effective peer educational program to spread Cancer awareness for the people of Amritsar. Dr. Barinder Singh, Cancer Specialist at Life Care Hospital gave an informative talk to strengthen and spread awareness among an audience of 600 patrons, about the dreaded disease as well as educated them about preventive lifestyle choices and how to take care and manage emergencies. Over 20 students of Universal Academy, Taran Tarn performed a dance and skit at AlphaOne with the themes being, Cancer Awareness  and ‘Say No to Drugs’.

Dr. Prodipta Sen, Executive Director, Alpha G:Corp stated, “This is a collaborative effort on our part along with like minded partners like, Life Care Hospital and Universal Academy, Taran Tarn, for our ongoing civic and social initiatives, ‘Amritsar Sparkling’ and ‘Be The Change’. This mutual initiative will continue to reinforce and increase awareness about the importance of good health and fitness among the residents as well as deeply educate people about the dreaded disease. We feel proud of every contribution we can make in fostering a healthy society. We will continue our interactions with the people of Amritsar and open many other vistas for them in wholesome activities like this. Awareness about Cancer is very relevant and an area of concern for people all across the world, especially in India. Through this program we intended to educate and spread awareness on Cancersince we believe that learning to prevent and cope with Cancer is a must and should be considered as part of quality education.”
