German Exchange Program to Explore Entrepreneurship & Innovation in the United States

Nine entrepreneurs & entrepreneurship educators set to arrive for one-week professional tour

WASHINGTON - Feb. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Cultural Vistas is pleased to welcome nine German entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship educators for a weeklong professional exchange program in the United States.

This initiative is sponsored by the Embassy of the United States in Berlin, and was designed and will be administered by Cultural Vistas staff, who will travel with the group for the duration of the program.

The program begins on Saturday, February 7 and will explore entrepreneurship education and the various supports for entrepreneurs and start-up companies, including government incentives and the efforts of higher education institutions and business incubators and accelerators to nurture new businesses.

The group — consisting of mid-career German professionals representing a variety of entrepreneurial entities, including higher education institutions and entrepreneurial support organizations — will travel to Washington, D.C. and the Arizonan cities of Tucson, Tempe and Phoenix.

The program will include visits to federal agencies such as the U.S. Economic Development Administration’s Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Office of Entrepreneurship Education, as well as to cutting-edge entrepreneurship programs at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Arizona State University, and the University of Arizona.

These visits will introduce the participants to the forward-looking work being done in the United States to foster an environment of innovation and entrepreneurship, and will allow the group to form personal and professional contacts that can enhance collaboration on both sides of the Atlantic.

Cultural Vistas endeavors to strengthen global cooperation and build mutual understanding through its variety of special initiatives and short‐term exchange programs.

In 2014, Cultural Vistas designed and administered five U.S. Embassy-sponsored programs with Germany, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Last month, the organization administered a two-week Muslim Community Leaders Exchange program with the Embassy of the United States in London. In the coming months, Cultural Vistas will continue to administer short-term programs sponsored by U.S. embassies in Germany and the United Kingdom covering themes ranging from consumer protection to climate and clean energy.
