Pillar Hotels & Resorts Employee Recognized with Spirit of Hampton Award

IRVING, Texas - Feb. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- Pillar Hotels & Resorts is proud to announce that LaShelle Sharp, Night Auditor at Hampton Inn Memphis-Walnut Grove, has been honored with a Spirit of Hampton Award. The Spirit Award is one of the highest forms of recognition Hilton Worldwide offers top performers who impact guests, team members, the hotel and their community. Spirit Award winners receive a trophy, lapel pin, $350 check and recognition from Hilton brand executives during a celebratory call.

LaShelle has been employed with Hampton Inn Memphis-Walnut Grove, managed by Pillar Hotels & Resorts, since March of 2011. Her General Manager, Ashley Davis, submitted the award nomination describing LaShelle’s actions during a recent emergency situation at the hotel in which a guest experienced a stroke. LaShelle reacted quickly and calmly, and kept in contact with the guest’s family to provide updates. That day, LaShelle built a strong relationship in a short amount of time and may have just saved the guest’s life.
