By: INSPR Media Campbell is known as one of the hardest working leaders in today’s civil rights and social justice movement. She is a long-time advocate for women’s rights, youth leadership development and black male achievement. Her organizations' recent activities have included challenging the National Football League (NFL) to engage Black women domestic violence and sexual assault experts to revamp the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy. "I am looking forward to the opportunity to address the summit and to share in an impactful discussion about the critical problems facing women in the economic, health and reproductive rights arenas," Campbell said. The Black Women's Roundtable, led by Campbell, launched its 2015 Healthy, Wealthy and Wise Economic Empowerment Project earlier this year. The program will provide more than 2,000 Black women and girls in seven states, including Pennsylvania, of diverse ages, economic levels and backgrounds with strategies, tools and resources to invest in their goals to achieve sustainable economic security, prosperity and healthier lifestyles. It will utilize diverse entrepreneurship training models, civic engagement, social innovation, coalition building and leadership development to achieve these objectives. Facets of the project will be also be featured at the Fourth Annual Black Women's Roundtable Women of Power National Summit scheduled for March 26- 28, 2015, in Washington, D.C. The National Coalition, founded in 1976, creates and enlightens communities by building institutional capacity that provides and develops leadership. By educating, motivating, organizing, and mobilizing Black communities, the National Coalition seeks to encourage full participation in a barrier-free democratic process. The National Coalition works to expand, strengthen, and empower communities to make voting and civic participation a cultural responsibility and tradition. The Black Women's Roundtable (BWR) serves as the women and girls empowerment arm of The National Coalition. BWR promotes health and wellness, economic security and sustainability, education and global empowerment.
