Goodwill and SCORE Naples to Partner for Fundraising Event

Event to benefit Goodwill SWFL MicroEnterprise program and SCORE

NAPLES, Fla. - Feb. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida will partner with SCORE Naples for an evening of refreshments, entertainment, and a silent auction with proceeds to benefit the Goodwill MicroEnterprise Institute and the Naples chapter of SCORE. The event will be held on March 11 at the Estuary at Grey Oaks in Naples (1600 Estuary Drive).

"It makes sense for Goodwill and SCORE to partner for this event,” says Goodwill spokesperson Madison Mitchell. “Two organizations that are helping the community by assisting small business owners become independent and successful- it’s a great combination.”

Through an intensive six-week course, small business mentors assist participants in creating a business plan. After the completion of the course, participants are invited to apply for a small character based micro-loan.

“The SCORE Naples partnership with Goodwill MicroEnterprise provides an opportunity to invest the money we raise from this event to support our joint mission of helping entrepreneurs,” says Vin Izzi, SCORE Naples board member. “This benefits the local economy.
