TEMPE, Ariz. - Feb. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Phoenix Analysis & Design Technologies, Inc. (PADT, Inc.), the Southwest’s largest provider of simulation, product development, and rapid prototyping services and products, is pleased to announce the addition of SpaceClaim Engineer to the growing list of engineering tools that they sell and support.  In the past, PADT has sold a limited version of the tool that works with ANSYS for simulation users and a version that is imbedded in Geomagic Spark for people doing reverse engineer.  By offering the full product, they are making the power of SpaceClaim available to engineers regardless of their application.

“With the purchase of SpaceClaim Corporation by ANSYS, Inc. in May of 2014, we had the opportunity to get to know the SpaceClaim team better and learn more about the full product. It became obvious that we would benefit greatly from using SpaceClaim Engineer for our own work and that our customers would get great value out of doing the same.” Commented Eric Miller, co-owner of PADT.  “The more we used it and showed it to others, the more problems we found it could solve.  It simply became one of those tools any engineer that works with geometry should have.”

Both the Stratasys and ANSYS product sales team are now recommending SpaceClaim to their customers, and the CUBE Simulation Computer team will be offering SpaceClaim as well on all workstations, servers, and head nodes with MS Windows installed. SpaceClaim is different from CAD programs in that is focuses on the productivity of someone creating or changing geometry.  It works with models created in almost any CAD system, STL files, or geometry can be created in the system.  The intuitive interface allows the user to very quickly modify or add to geometry, parameterize features, and repair bad geometry.  All in a fraction of the time needed to do the same tasks in a CAD tool.  In addition, the latest release offers a new tool for preparing and repairing STL geometry for 3D Printing – something that many of PADT’s customers have been asking for.

More information on the SpaceClaim engineer can be found at http://www.padtinc.com/spaceclaim.  PADT will be scheduling webinars showing of the product in the coming months, and watch “The Focus” blog for postings on the tool (http://www.padtinc.com/thefocus).
