Follow on Google News | Dominican Sisters of Hope Launch New WebsiteAfter an 800-year tradition of privacy, a group of Dominican Sisters pave a new path for women religious
While sisters have kept largely private lives throughout their 800-year history, the Dominican Sisters of Hope are opening up their lives to the public with a new website modeled off of the Zappos.com business model, which includes new content three times per week, a vibrant call center, and a strong focus on Facebook and Twitter. New content and images about the sisters’ lives and ministries will be produced by an in-house journalist. A Community Relations Strategist will facilitate one-on-one interactions with those who express interest in the content and/or mission of the sisters. The initiative is intended to make the general public, donors, and volunteers aware of the sisters and their mission to spread hope in a changing world. Visit our site: www.ophope.org The Dominican Sisters of Hope are 160+ Catholic Dominican sisters who are committed to living and preaching the gospel message of hope. Hailing from Newburgh, NY, Fall River, MA, and Ossining, NY, we now live in seventeen states and Puerto Rico where we serve largely in justice, social, healthcare, and education ministries. Always dynamic, we are everything from Executive Directors of homeless shelters to gym teachers to published authors. We’re excited to share with you the ways we bring hope to it all.
