ROCK, U.K. - Jan. 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Research from Cornwall based Sharp’s Brewery has revealed that 63% of Brits in the South West would re-live the last 10 years and make them more adventurous given the chance. The findings coincide with the launch of Sharp’s ‘There’s an Adventure Brewing’ campaign, which aims to reignite Britons’ lost sense of every day excitement.

More than half (58%) of Brits in the South West would like to live more adventurously, and 63% would feel happier and more fulfilled if they were able to do so. The three biggest factors holding back Brits in the South West from living life more adventurously are financial restraints (39%), family pressures (19 %) and work (14%).

Most participants felt travelling more and adding more variety to day to day tasks lead to a more adventurous life.  South West participants rated the willingness to take risks as an all important aspect of being adventurous – more so than respondents from any other region in the UK.

With these findings in mind, Sharp’s has created a year-long continually evolving national campaign to encourage Brits to follow their passion and bring a sense of everyday adventure and excitement back to the UK.

The team behind ‘There’s an Adventure Brewing’ and Sharp’s continued growth gathered at Daymer Bay to commemorate its launch, where Stuart Howe, Director of Brewing, Sharp’s Brewery said: “Being based on the Cornwall Atlantic coast, adventure is part of our everyday lives at Sharp’s – whether it’s surfing, rowing, or living out our passion to create new and exciting beers.”

“Our research clearly shows that Brits are craving adventure – and more than that, believe this will make them happier and more fulfilled. We wanted a way to show the importance of a little adventure, and help inject some more excitement into their everyday lives.”

Sharp’s ‘There’s an Adventure Brewing’ campaign will give people the opportunity to win one of five extraordinary adventures during 2015. The brewer is teaming up with inspirational leaders from across a range of sports and industries, offering the public the chance to join them on their next big challenge.

The first adventure will offer members of the public the chance to join Sharp’s Director of Brewing and world renowned brewer, Stuart Howe, in a journey to create their very own personal brew. Winners will join Stuart at the Sharp’s brewery, where they’ll learn the art of craft brewing, working through their own ideas to bring to life their perfect taste profile. Their beer will be brewed and made available as a limited edition across select pubs and bars as well as the Sharp’s shop.

Whether rowing the Atlantic, winning a rugby World Cup, seeking out the world’s biggest waves, or cooking Michelin Star dishes – Sharp’s has chosen leading ambassadors for the remaining four adventures, details of which will be released at later dates throughout the year. Visit www.sharpsadventure.co.uk for regular updates. The campaign launch coincides with the announcement that Sharp’s Doom Bar won the Food Awards Best Drink category at a prestigious South West ceremony.

Stuart Howe will be on hand at London Beer Week, 16 - 22 February, to reveal more about the beer adventure. Sharp’s will be offering VIP food and beer pairing sessions inside its exclusive ‘crate’ as well as having a dedicated space within the hub.
