Red Rocks Century Charity Cycling Ride Announces Denver Rescue Mission as 2015 Beneficiary

DENVER - Jan. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- The Red Rocks Century (http://www.redrockscentury.com/) charity cycling event has announced Denver Rescue Mission (http://www.denverrescuemission.org/) as the sole beneficiary for the 2015 ride.  Denver Rescue Mission is one of the oldest charities in the Rocky Mountain region seeking to change lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need, with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens.  The 2015 Red Rocks Century ride scheduled for August 8, will start and end in Morrison, Colo.

In its fourth year, the Red Rocks Century boasts nearly 400 riders for challenging road cycling events through and around front range mountain towns.  All proceeds from the 2015 event will be donated directly to Denver Rescue Mission.  Since launching the charity ride, Red Rocks Century has donated the proceeds from the race to multiple charities including Trips for Kids, Colfax Community Network, Bridge Project, Young Life, Hope Communities and Can Do Multiple Sclerosis.

“The selection of Denver Rescue Mission means all of our donations will stay in the Denver area, providing the ability to make a real impact on both feeding and housing the homeless you see at the Lawrence Street shelter, as well as helping local families, seniors and refugees impacted by homelessness,” said Brad Benson, Board Director for Red Rocks Century.

Ride options will include the Century Route (100 miles/10,000+ feet of elevation gain), Metric Route (62 miles/6,000+ feet of elevation gain) and Challenge Route (33 miles).  All rides will begin at T.E.V. Edelweiss Club in Morrison with a grand start beginning at 6 a.m. for the signature 100 and 62 mile routes.

Early registration options include the ride with a jersey ($130), without a jersey ($80), or choose the best option and pledge to raise a minimum of $150 for a reduced fee ($60) and the jersey is included. Prices go up in June.
