The Prairie Scholars Release New Double Album and Accept Local Board Positions

Andy and Jessica Eppler, aka The Prairie Scholars, are releasing their first full studio album since "The Wasteland Ramble" back in 2012. The new double album "The Good Old Days Now" will become available to the public on March 4th, 2015.

LONGMONT, Colo. - Jan. 29, 2015 - PRLog -- Andy and Jessica Eppler, aka The Prairie Scholars, have been living and loving in Longmont, Colorado since the end of 2009 and they have no plans to move away. In fact, they are investing more than ever. On March 4th at Rosalee's on Main street, The Prairie Scholars are releasing a new 20 song double album celebraring the wonderful community they have found in Longmont. The album is titled "The Good Old Days Now" and features all the songs The Prairie Scholars have been charming audiences with over the last year and a half in breweries and local music venues all over the Front Range.

Listening Party Release Show Details: March 4th at Rosalee's (461 Main Street) from 6-9 pm. Come have a beer and a slice of pie while we all celebrate the completion and release of this new work. The Prairie Scholars will not be performing live but rather they will be letting the album play all the way through over the course of the evening.

The Prairie Scholars are dedicated to their local art scene in Longmont and are always looking for ways to help make it more effective and sustainable. It is this motivation that has moved The Prairie Scholars to accept positions on local boards and commitees for event planning including The ArtWalk Longmont, Longmont Live, and The Left Hand Artist Group. The Prairie Scholars plan to use their influence on these groups and events in order to propperly coordinate and maximize the potential of each opportunity.

"It's a very exciting time on the Front Range as art and business learn to thrive together. We intend to use our opportunities with ArtWalk Longmont, Longmont Live and The Left Hand Artist Group to help rebrand Longmont as a premeir art destination in Colorado." said Andy Eppler.

The Prairie Scholars are even hosting a Songwriter series in Longmont begining in February and culminating with The Longmont Songwriter Music Festival at the wonderful 300 Suns Brewery (335 1st Avenue). The performers and showcase dates are as follows:

2/15 Nick O'Connor, 3/15 Sean Flynn, 4/19 Sharon Glassman, 5/17 Denny Driscoll, 6/21 Craig Cornett

All shows will feature song swaping and interviews with each artist hosted by Andy Eppler.

The Prairie Scholars Present: The Longmont Songwriter Music Festival on 7/11. All of the artists from the series will perform from 2-7pm. There will be two locally based food trucks (Bumbu Bali and Bodacious Eats) so folks can hang out all day and listen to locally crafted art while eating and drinking locally crafted food and beer. This is a celebration of the Longmont Community and is sure to be a fantastic day. The networking group Coffee & Connections and the music store Miller Music are the gracious sponsors for the big event.
