Learning Dongle enables higher education for one and all

Galaxy ventures has taken a giant step to take Indian online education global with the launch of Learningdongle.com.

Learningdongle.com, was created with a vision to make higher education more accessible to students in India and around the globe. It will open for admissions in spring of 2015.

The revolution of taking the courses online was initiated by Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2001. Since then globally more than 200 universities have joined the so-called opencourseware consortium.

By 2030 India will have the largest population in the higher education age bracket & increasing urbanization and income levels; will drive demand for higher education.

Following the same revolution, Indian universities have also opened their branches of distant education and have provided students with the dignified degrees based on self paced learning. Until now, these open courses have been posted either on the static websites or through couriers to the students. Students receive the necessary course material, which they have to go through in a solo environment.

We will provide students with the best possible content from Indian and International universities. We are committed to providing employable workforce to the corporate world” adds Mr. Deepak Singh of Galaxy Ventures.

E&Y – FICCI further highlights, “By 2020, 40 million students will have to be enrolled in higher education; which will imply an additional capacity of over 25 million seats from where we are now.”

Learningdongle.com uses a cloud based Learning Management System, based on Moodle which is globally used by leading universities. It will provide students with an opportunity to interact with other learners as well in a self controlled environment.

“The idea is to make education available for one and all. It should be independent of time, place and cost. We welcome everyone who has a desire to learn, not just in India but across the world.” adds   Dr. Kulkrani, a veteran in the field of higher education and has been serving this sector for last 33 years.

Given the scale, size and potential of higher learning in India and across the world, LearningDongle is aiming for a 1000 crore valuation in 2 years.
