Berta Lippert Stands Up To Cancer With Wellness Coach Certification From World-Renowned Mayo Clinic

DULUTH, Minn. - Jan. 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Certified Life Coach Berta Lippert, an internationally recognized authority on health and safety, now offers Wellness Coaching after earning a certification from world-renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Lippert has a Bachelor of Science in Health Education and a Master in Health and Safety, both from the University of Minnesota Duluth. She witnessed both of her parents battle cancer, including the devastating loss of her mother to breast cancer in 2010. Her father is currently in remission and doing well. Lippert has multiple relatives on both sides of her family who have battled cancer. Her family has a genetic predisposition to cancer with known gene mutations leading to an 87% probability of developing cancer.

While currently having escaped the diagnosis herself, but realizing her high risk of cancer, Lippert has made very difficult decisions regarding her own health. In 2011, after biopsies, a lumpectomy and having shown cellular changes, Berta underwent a bilateral mastectomy. An additional surgery in 2014 addressed the concern of her high risk of the deadly, and often late diagnosed, ovarian cancer.

“I will never give up hope that one day, advancements in medicine will eliminate the difficult decisions for others that I have had to make.” said Lippert. “Even more important, these advancements will end the fight against cancer, and no more lives will be lost to this terrible disease.”
