Enter Luzifer-Imajin Books, an innovative new publishing imprint co-conceived by Imajin Books publisher and bestselling author Cheryl Kaye Tardif and German publisher Steffen Janssen from Luzifer-Verlag. Tardif became aware of a major gap in Amazon’s platform after granting the German rights for her thriller, The River, to publisher Luzifer-Verlag. The German language version of the book, Wilder Fluss, was inaccessible to readers in North America due to Germany’s geographical restrictions for retailers such as Amazon. “Online book retailers seem to assume that people in North America aren’t going to read foreign language books, so their systems—plus government restrictions— Their innovative solution was to create an imprint of Tardif’s own publishing house called Luzifer-Imajin Books, which will now be publishing German language e-book titles for a North American audience.
