Holy Redeemer Catholic Church First Annual Mardi Gras Dance

MIAMI - Jan. 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Miami - January 2015, Holy Redeemer Catholic Church will hold its first annual Mardi Gras scholarship dance on Saturday, February 14, 2015 in Miami-Dade County, Florida.  Holy Redeemer Catholic Church is a predominately African-American Catholic religious community in the Liberty City area.  The scholarship is named in honor of Dr. Earl Allen, renowned obstetrician/gynecologist and present member of Holy Redeemer.

Holy Redeemer was established in Liberty City during 1950 and is a pillar of faith, service and discipleship within the South Florida community.  The Mardi Gras dance will provide scholarships to committed Holy Redeemer youth who plan to pursue college, technical, and United States military education.  The promotion of higher education among youth and achieving goals to enhance society is a fundamental achievement Dr. Earl Allen championed to all youth.

Dr. Allen is a proud graduate of Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University in Tallahassee, FL.  He obtained his obstetrician/gynecology degree from the University of Miami. Dr. Allen went into private practice as an obstetrician/gynecologist serving hundreds of residents within the Miami community and beyond.  He initiated the scholarship program by providing books and awards to Holy Redeemer graduates over 20 years ago.

The Mardi Gras Dance will be held in the M. Athalie Range Parish Hall, 1301 N.W. 71^st Street, Miami, FL beginning 7:00 p.m. - until. Great music, fellowship, and dancing will be had by all for a fantastic cause.
