Sterling Estates of West Cobb is a new Senior Living Community coming to Marietta, GA

MARIETTA, Ga. - Feb. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- West Cobb Senior Living, LLC received final zoning approval October 2014 from the Cobb County Board of Commissioners to develop a new senior living community in Marietta, Georgia located in West Cobb on Dallas Highway.

The new community to be called Sterling Estates of West Cobb will sit on approximately 24 acres between Dallas Highway and Kennesaw View Drive, just west of Christ Lutheran Church and West Sandtown Road.  Mike Brown, partner of West Cobb Senior Living, said construction would begin sometime in the first half of 2015 and open in 2016.  Like Sterling Estates of East Cobb the West Cobb community will provide Independent Living for its residents; both couples and singles with cottages, garden homes and suites. In addition to Independent Living the community will have an Assisted Living Residence that will provide studio, one and two bedroom suites.

Brown said, “Obviously our needs change as we age. At Sterling Estates of West Cobb we are addressing those changes in a neighborhood setting on 24 acres. This residential setting is just one of the attributes that will set us apart from other communities.  Just because we have different needs doesn’t mean we should give up those things we love about our current home. We believe physical activity is essential to maintaining one’s independence. That is why we will have an indoor, heated pool, a Wellness Center and walking trails throughout the community. As well, we believe an active social life enhances our mental capacities.  At Sterling Estates of West Cobb we will provide the opportunity to engage and the programs to help keep you active and independent.”

“Sterling Estates of East Cobb opened in August of 2012 and has met with tremendous success. Our 12 Independent Living cottage units are full with a waiting list and our 90 suites, Assisted Living Residence is 90% occupied with a mix of couples and singles. With Sterling Estates of West Cobb we want to bring to this area of Marietta and West Cobb the same features and amenities that our East Cobb community has provided,” said Brown.
