Working on a 115 foot-long, 1800’s era ship, the employees of Adaptive Technologies Group learned about the process involved in rigging large sails. Receiving instruction in the procedure of hoisting and trimming sails, coiling lines and learning marine commands, the team enjoyed a day at sea that was both informative and fun.

Not only did the staff at Adaptive Technologies Group learn how similar sail rigging is to audio and visual rigging, they also discovered valuable teambuilding skills that they now use on a daily basis. By discovering what it takes to rig and crew a ship in wind and weather conditions, production, warehouse and administrative employees were able to take their newfound appreciation of each other and apply it together in the day to day operations of Adaptive, as well as in the design and production of its products.
