BizProfitPro Leads as Participating Vendor for Connecticut Light & Power

FARMINGTON, Conn. - Jan. 26, 2015 - PRLog -- BizProfitPro is now authorized to perform a no- cost survey of manufacturing operations. The survey can reveal opportunities that can lead to verifiable energy-use reductions. Your company will then be eligible for funding through the PRIME program. The funding is available to offset the cost of the Lean Manufacturing Training as determined by the estimated kilowatt-hour savings.

Connecticut Light & Power administered the PRIME program: Process Reengineering for Increased Manufacturing Efficiency. The program serves manufacturers who are looking for a competitive edge and need to take a systematic approach to evaluating and identifying inefficiencies and waste in their operations. CL&P has contracted with several companies to provide this service. As of last week, Bizprofitpro became one of them.

The PRIME program provides businesses with training in 'lean manufacturing' techniques in order to streamline product flow, eliminate or reduce waste, improve production efficiency, minimize environmental impact, and reduce electrical energy consumption. Conventionally, manufacturers operate on a 'push' basis - accumulating excess inventory and scrambling to find customers and push the product. Lean manufacturing techniques promote a 'pull' approach - producing to the customer's immediate needs and essentially eliminating waste and overproduction which can be costly. The lean approach reduces costs and ultimately is better for customers.

Access to this type of specialized training is often limited to very large businesses that have the resources to invest in the training. Now, with support from Energize Connecticut and the collaboration with Bizprofitpro, there is technical and financial assistance to learn these techniques, apply them to your business, and determine your energy future.

To be eligible to participate in this program, you must be an Industrial/Manufacturing customer of CL&P and must be prequalified by a no-cost survey performed by Bizprofitpro which has been authorized by CL&P's PRIME Program.
