Riverside Drive Animal Care Center’s Dr. David McGuffin Is Recertified by the ABVP

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Jan. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- Today, Riverside Drive Animal Care Center, a full-service veterinary medical facility for cats and dogs for more than 25 years, announced that Dr. David McGuffin has been recertified through the prestigious American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) Diplomate program. Dr. McGuffin is a partner/owner at Riverside Drive Animal Care and serves as medical director of the practice.

Dr. McGuffin is one of only 900 ABVP Diplomates worldwide and one of just two here in the Columbus area. He first earned his ABVP certification in 1996, undergoing a rigorous process requiring additional studies and examination to become a board certified specialist in canine and feline medicine. Unlike other specialty groups, Diplomates have to recertify every 10 years, proving knowledge and expertise above and beyond what is required to practice veterinary medicine.

A graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. McGuffin’s professional memberships include: The American Animal Hospital Association, Ohio Veterinary Medical Association, Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine, Comparative Gastroenterology Society, the Veterinary Cancer Society, Dublin AM Rotary Club, and the American Veterinary Medical Association.
