New Startup Tackles Construction Payments

HELENA, Mont. - Jan. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- (Helena, MT) Montana based tech startup, ConstructionVault.com, is bringing construction payments online to create a secure, fast process that benefits both the consumer and the business owner.

Sparked by emerging technology, nearly every industry has developed a system of immediate payments over the past decade. However the payment process in the construction industry has largely remained changed.

“If you go the dentist or get a new muffler on your car, payment is required at the time of service.  However, if you install a new floor in someone’s house you send an invoice and wait up to 30 days for your money,” said Dustin Stewart, Founder of ConstructionVault.com. “That is too long, and we aim to change it.”

ConstructionVault is free for contractors to use.  After signup a contractor can quickly send estimates and invoices to clients.   The client receives an email with the invoice in a pdf and a link to pay online.

The site not only benefits contractors, but homeowners as well. “Fraud is everywhere these days,” said Stewart. “People are uncomfortable giving their credit card out to businesses and I don’t blame them.”

“The beauty of ConstructionVault.com is that the contractor never touches the card and it isn’t even stored on our server,” added Stewart. “Pay once and you are done. This is the same system that Lyft.com and Tilt.com use. It is safe and secure for homeowners.”

The site is fast and simple.  Contractors can accept all major credit cards for a flat 3.5% fee. No minimums and no monthly fees.

ConstructionVault.com is built by Dustin Stewart, a Montana native that has nine years of experience in the construction industry. Dustin is also employed as the Executive Director of the Montana Building Industry Association.
