AlphaOne & Swami Vivekananda Drug De-Addiction & Treatment Centre Reinforce ‘Say No to Drugs’

AMRITSAR, India - Jan. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- AlphaOne, Swami Vivekananda Drug De-Addiction & Treatment Centre and Volunteers of Amritsar Sparkling are carrying on the initiative ‘Say No to Drugs’ by organizing a 2^nd drive on January 23rd at 10.00 AM at Pulse Hospital Clinic at Maqbool Pura. A team of doctors from Swami Vivekananda Drug De-Addiction & Treatment Centrewill be available for counseling sessions for drug awareness as well as meet patients in the privacy of their homes. This is in continuation to the important initiative that was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner, Mr. Ravi Bhagat on Children’s Day on November 14, 2014 in Maqbool Pura to combat drug abuse in Amritsar with ‘Say No to Drugs’ initiative.

This initiative will reinforce and increase awareness about the importance of good health and fitness among the residents as well as deeply educate people about the dreaded drug habit. AlphaOne and Swami Vivekananda Drug De-Addiction & Treatment Centrehave been regularly organizing awareness drives to educate residents about the medical facilities, treatments, mobile vans, ambulances and counseling available to them in their area on a constant basis. There has already been a glimmer of hope by way of a new determination among drug users in the area to banish the drug habit.

AlphaOne is engaging families and the people of Amritsar right from children to the Senior Citizens in terms of cultural, social, health and entertainment activities besides retail therapy. AlphaOne is contributing to the wholesome betterment of the community through cleanliness and greening drive with the concerned local municipal authorities of Amritsar under the initiative “Be the Change Club”, through “Amritsar Sparkling”.
