PALM SPRINGS, Calif. - Jan. 22, 2015 - PRLog -- It’s finally happened in the world of murder mysteries. The suspected murderer is blind and deaf from birth just like Helen Keller. Jack Fitzgerald, award-winning writer of unique novels and plays, has taken the genre a step further. He has invented the HOWDUNIT in place of the WHODUNIT.

Two years ago Fitzgerald came out with TEDDY BEAR MURDERS, which introduced murder mystery readers to Olivia Haines, an introverted high school teacher. She is targeted for murder by one of her students, a sociopath, who just happens to be one of the most popular students in school. Being an amateur sleuth at heart, she discovers the death plot just in time to survive a gruesome death.

Olivia survives not only to continue her classes as an English lit teacher but to marry introverted middle-school science teacher Ron Whittaker and star in her newly minted adventures in MURDER IMPOSSIBLE, which just hit the book stores and the internet this past week.

Olivia and Ron decide to honeymoon to Mexico aboard the cruise ship the Pan Americana. They agree to change their behavior while on vacation and become more social and relaxed. Almost immediately they find themselves in a melee with odd shipmates. There’s the loud mouth heiress who wants to run their lives and her nemesis Alan Paxton, who likes to make her rich life miserable. There’s a retired Episcopal priest and his wife who add happenstance to their lives at every corner. Finally, Mallory Holmes, a blind and deaf young man with a frigid wife. These odd new friendships flounder, however, when Alan ends up murdered, and Mallory claims he’s the perpetrator.

The passengers arrive together back in Los Angeles where the murder case unfolds.  Olivia and Ron take it upon themselves to find the real killer, and no one will be more surprised by the truth than the newly married couple.

If you like Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple, you’ll certainly relish Olivia Haines and Ron Whittaker’s amateur sleuthing in not only MURDER IMPOSSIBLE but its prequel TEDDY BEAR MURDERS.
