Dubai Food Festival is a 23-day long celebration of the traditional Emirati cuisine all over the city. The culinary gala showcases Dubai as an emerging destination for gastronomes from across the globe. Like the previous year, Dubai Food Festival will be buzzing with events, contests, and exhibitions this year. The multicultural diversity of the Emirati cuisine including everything from gourmet dining to everyday street food is the biggest draw of the extravaganza. Dubai Food & Film is a program of cinematic entertainment for foodies in the night. Fatafeat Kitchen is a blend of cooking sensations from the reservoir of nine celebrity chefs.
The event “Dine on the Creek”, as the title suggests, promises to offer an unforgettable dining experience on Dubai’s renowned floating restaurants. Other events are planned to satisfy the cravings of visitors, guests and the locals for gastronomic entertainment. The following are the key themes of Dubai Food Festival 2015:
The Emirati Cuisine is a tribute to the local chefs and authentic local dishes in Dubai. The local chefs strive to keep the traditional Emirati hospitality alive. The Home Grown program is designed to introduce nine of the best homegrown restaurants in Dubai and offer a genuine beach dining experience to the celebrated guests.
Multicultural Dining & Street Food is a uniquely conceptualized program to celebrate the fusion of culinary influences, local and exotic. Dubai’s homegrown food trucks will be stationed at a few premiere places to serve the best street food and dishes from multicultural cuisines. It will be followed by Street Nights, which will showcase the aware-winning street food photographer Penny De La Santos’ repertoire.
Nine celebrity chefs including Salma Soliman from Egypt and Sanjeev Kapoor from India will give live cooking demonstrations.
