LITCHFIELD, Conn. - Jan. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Come and enjoy the wonderful artwork by Litchfield Center Schools’ Preschoolers through Third Graders. They have created animals with texture, seascapes in abstract colors, still-lifes with patterns and much more!  They used watercolors, inks for printmaking, markers, and construction crayons that draw on any color paper. Their pictures reflect artists that they have been studying such as Vincent Van Gogh, Claude Monet and Henri Matisse.

Students in grades four through six from Litchfield Intermediate School present artwork in a variety of media. Their work was created using sharpie pens, colored pencils, construction paper, collage and printmaking techniques, watercolors, tempera paints, and more! Their projects are based on the study of both historical and contemporary artists and art processes.

The work on display in this exhibit bears witness to the inspiration, dedication and skill of Litchfield High School art students. The pieces represent the best efforts of students who participated in first semester 2 Dimensional Art Foundation, Painting, Sculpture, Interior Design and Advanced Placement Art classes. The students greatly appreciate this opportunity to share their art work with their community.
