Our Lady of Lourdes School Prepares to Celebrate Catholic Schools Week

TAUNTON, Mass. - Jan. 20, 2015 - PRLog -- Our Lady of Lourdes School students and faculty are eagerly preparing to celebrate Catholic Schools Week. The celebration kicks off at Our Lady of Lourdes School on the 24th of January and continues until January 31st.  The theme for the National Catholic Schools Week 2015 is “Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service.”

This theme celebrates the fact that Catholic schools are an added value for the nation. Because of their traditionally high academic standards and high graduation rates, all supported by strong moral values, Catholic schools and their graduates make a definite contribution to American society.

Our Lady of Lourdes School will host an Open House on Saturday, January 24th from 12:00 to 2:00PM and welcomes anyone from the community who wants to learn more about the school. Other events throughout the week will focus on teacher appreciation, student appreciation and parent appreciation.  Activities will include a visit from the South Shore Science Center, Grandparents’ Breakfast, service projects, as well as various “appreciation” events. The school will also celebrate with a community mass and pancake breakfast.  Catholic Schools Week is a great opportunity to learn more about Catholic Schools in the area.

Our Lady of Lourdes School is proud to provide an outstanding education. The school is currently holding Open Registration.  If you are interested in learning more about Our Lady of Lourdes School, please contact Shalimar Albanese-Pavao at 401-524-8431 or visit us on the web at www.ololtaunton.com
