2014 Zurn Food Drive Doubles Previous Year’s Total

ERIE, PA – Employees of Zurn Industries, LLC more than doubled the amount collected for a food drive compared to 2013’s total, benefiting the people served by local food banks across the country.

As a whole, Zurn raised a total of 17,980.3 pounds of food or 23.66 pounds per associate across the US,  and in Canada.  This is the fourth consecutive year that Zurn conducted the pre-Thanksgiving Holiday food drive.

“This was a corporate-wide effort that helped those in need and lifted the spirits of all Zurn associates who took part,” says Miranda Schmidt, Senior Marketing Content Specialist for Zurn.

The Zurn locations include Erie, PA; Sanford, NC; Paso Robles, CA; Levittown, PA; Ontario, Canada; Atlanta, GA; Carrollton, TX; Elkhart, IN; Commerce, TX; and Charlotte, NC.

In Erie, the drive benefited the people served by the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwestern Pennsylvania. Second Harvest provides food to those in need within eleven counties while creating awareness about the realities of hunger.
