The Business Guide for Translators contains essential knowledge needed to create a successful translation and interpreting business and is the first book that applies busi-ness knowledge to the translation industry.
The Guide consists of four parts, first explaining business theory and main concepts, like sup-ply, demand or profit margins; second part discusses formulation and implementation of busi-ness strategy, third teaches how to manage business effectively and fourth discusses business practices. Each chapter introduces the topic, discusses its applications to the translation indus-try and presents the readers with practical tasks to apply to their own businesses.
