Follow on Google News | Dranoff 2 Piano presents "New World Of Classical Music"By: Dranoff 2 Piano Foundation The Dranoff continues in its 28th Season of 2 piano masters with “New World of Classical Music.” On Sunday, February 8th at 5:00 pm, Dranoff 2 Piano presents the critically acclaimed Italian pianists, the Trivella Piano Duo on Miami Beach at the New WorldCenter, in “New World of Classical Music”. The program features music encompassing 2 piano masterpieces by some of the greatest living composers from around the world, played by the masterful and sensational twin pianists, Davide and Daniele Trivella. This concert will bring together both new and well-known 2 piano works of John Adams, John Corigliano, Gabriela Lena Frank, Lowell Liebermann, Alice Ho and Giovanni Sollima. The concert will also present works commissioned in the past by Dranoff for the Dranoff International 2 Piano Competition, Corigliano’s Chiaroscuro and Frank’s Seis Cantos de los Campos. The concert will present Adams’s Hallelujah Junction, Liebermann’s Sonata for Two Pianos, as well as a newer work in the genre, Alice Ho’s Glistening Pianos. For the occasion of “New World of Classical Music”, Davide and Daniele will also be performing their own 2 piano transcription of Violoncelles, vibrez!, an energetic piece by Giovanni Sollima, Italian composer and cellist who has worked extensively with maestro Yo-Yo Ma and his Silk Road Project. “…the pianists melted into one single person.
