John Provo Joins Carolina Coach & Marine's RV Service Center

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Jan. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- Carolina Coach & marine Introduces JOHN PROVO as their new Service Director

John is a 25 year veteran of the RV industry. He got his start in the RV service industry by shear accident. He was a member of the Florida National Guard and after serving 18 months of training, he was to go on full time duty. As budget cuts loomed, the full time duty positions were eliminated. John then went to work for his brother, who was a service manager at an RV service center that specialized in frame off restorations of the GMC front wheel drive motor homes that were built  from 1973 to 1978. During his tenure with this company, John jokes that his first year was like starting a new job every week.  The frame off restoration process immersed him in a different skill everyday.

     John's desire to increase his RV knowledge lead him to a national RV accessory retailer, this experience afforded him the opportunity to learn how to install as well as diagnose appliances, awnings, leveling systems and develop his customer service skills.  the opportunity to move to a franchise dealership presented itself and John jumped at the chance to learn another aspect of the RV industry. While at the dealership John progressed through different positions learning warranty, parts and service writing. John was the shop manager when Featherlite Manufacturing offered him a lead manager position in their Prevost bus conversion operation. While with Featherlite John learned lean manufacturing processes, labor management and quality control. The accumulation of experience led him to Movie Movers where hequickly rose to the position of East Coast Service Director.

      John managed several parts and service centers on the east coast. The uniqueness of this position was that all his clients were A list celebrities. For more than 7 years John personally managed the maintenance of the RV's used by these celebrities while filming on location, sound stages, as well as in the Bahamas and Mexico. While the position was exciting John's true passion was working in a dealership environment. RV dealership are always on the leading edge and gets to see how the industry has changed the models as well as technical advances that are being incorporated to improve the experience for the customer. All the changes require constant re-education; John has been participating in the training programs sponsored by the RVIA for the past 14 years, in order to continually provide the best service available to his customers.
