Familiar Faces Take the Helm of Marketing Firm

AUSTIN, Texas - Jan. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- The Catalyst marketing firm has two new names at the top of its organizational chart as two members of its team have moved into senior leadership roles at the firm, which specializes in serving the student housing, higher education, financial, commercial real estate and other top industries.

Jamie Matusek, who previously served as the company’s group account director, now leads the 11-person team of marketing experts as vice president. Senior designer Christy McFerren also has been promoted to the position of the firm’s creative director, overseeing a team of graphic and interactive designers.

Before joining Catalyst, she served as sales and marketing director for Nexersys where she was responsible for consumer and business-to-business sales and marketing efforts. Before Nexersys, she held the position of marketing director at QuantumDigital. She and her team were recognized for their work by winning awards that included the coveted Direct Marketing Association’s ECHO™ Award for marketing campaign excellence two years in a row, as well as marketing and sales support/lead generation awards of excellence from the National Association for Printing Leaders.

Like Matusek, McFerren also has more than 15 years of professional experience but as a designer and marketer who is an expert in crafting platforms and sculpting brand messages for the web, mobile and print. McFerren also has a passion for clean, well-built designs that are founded on analytics and sound metrics. Before joining Catalyst, McFerren held the position of account manager at Author Media.
