New Comedy Show California Roll Wins Hollywood and Vine Film Festival

LOS ANGELES - Jan. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- If you live in LA you live in your car, we all know that... Well, finally there's a show about it that will make you laugh, and now its award winning.  The new webseries, CALIFORNIA ROLL, was inspired by actress DENYC, who - like many people - spends hours a day in her car driving the streets of Los Angeles.  The show follows two best friends, recently made roommates, chasing dreams (and a few boys) around town, all while poking fun at what makes LA, well, LA.  The show recently won the Best Hollywood and Vine award at the Hollywood and Vine Film Festival.  The cast is full of comedic timing talent, and the concept is perfect for its online platform.  California Roll episodes air every friday at www.youtube.com/calirollseries

Actress, writer DENYC (known for her writing works as Denise Poole) is a refreshing new talent who’s work has been outstanding from the start.  She’s followed none of the typical Hollywood molds, and carved her own path through a passion for storytelling.  Her action/scifi and comedy focused career lends her to be seen on set with a child-like smile, but those who’ve worked with Denyc know she’s a movie-making darling with a knack for getting projects produced.  Despite her short time in the industry, Denyc has had amazing success as a writer and actress, pairing the two talents together perfectly.  She is coming up fast, and no one has seen anything quite like her.  As she moves forward in her career, one can only get excited to see what magic comes onscreen as much as off.
