Freedom House is pleased to partner with Veterans Village to facilitate these services for veterans Village residents and also implement recovery support services programs at the Veterans Village campus” Plan of Action/Mobilization- Housing: Expansion plans call for the expansion of Veterans Village from 122 units to 250 units along with the expansion of intensive onsite supportive services. Plan of action to be unveiled depicting the expansion and the master plan solution. The Problem: Homelessness and chronic poverty is a primary problem in Downtown Las Vegas and Southern Nevada. The current housing and support service delivery system is disjointed, seamed, unorganized and is a fragmented process for United States Veterans. This problem is widespread throughout Downtown Las Vegas and immediate area surrounding the Downtown.
