By: T.MORRISON AGENCY In the wake of the highly publicized deaths of Eric Garner and Mike Brown and the recent mid-term election that found most African-American candidates defeated,“The Autopsy" will inform and inspire attendees to leverage their collective power to influence the political leadership and policies that affect their communities. The town hall will also introduce attendees to strategies they can share with their respective networks to increase awareness of social justice issues. Christine White, President of Influencer Coalition states, “We are organizing because we recognize the untapped power of Generation X, Y and the Millennials. Through thoughtful and deliberate action, we can create a sustainable movement that leverages our resources and directly addresses the concerns of our community.” Jason “J. Carter” Carter who serves as Vice President for the organization adds, "Many of the socioeconomic issues we faced in 1965; we are still dealing with 50 years later in 2015. One difference is, in 1965 we looked for individual civic leaders to help navigate us through many of these problems. In 2015, we are using the power of industry influencers and community to evoke change and awareness. It's a new day and the playbook has changed." “The Autopsy: Our Money, Our Power, Our Politics” town hall will feature a panel of entrepreneurs, artists and cultural curators who share a common goal to produce positive change for their communities.
