CB3 Athletics teams up with RecruitLook Showcase Series

High school athletes seeking more college football recruiting exposure just got a big boost with the partnership of CB3 Athletics' football combines and the RecruitLook Showcase Series.

Jan. 9, 2015 - PRLog -- RecruitLook is thrilled to announce a new partnership with CB3 Athletics.  CB3 Athletics gives high school football players a platform to receive valuable instruction, engage in high-level competition, and maximize their recruiting exposure through combines, showcase events, and 7v7 events.

CB3 Athletics’ events will be part of the newly formed RecruitLook Showcase Series.  The RecruitLook Showcase Series was formed out of necessity of the RecruitLook user base.  As RecruitLook continues to grow, the need to offer more ways for athletes to gain recruiting exposure was necessary.  Now, RecruitLook Showcase Series events will offer top-level instruction, competition, recruiting education and college recruiting exposure unmatched in the industry.

Cory Boyd, a former college and professional football player founded CB3 Athletics.  Boyd enjoyed success at the highest level of football, and wanted to share his knowledge and enthusiasm for the game with the next generation.  CB3 Athletics seeks those athletes motivated to learn and enhance their football skills, while competing for more recruiting attention at the collegiate level.

CB3 Athletics and RecruitLook are teaming up to increase high school football players’ chances of landing a college scholarship.  Beyond the events that CB3 Athletics operates, Boyd has joined the RecruitLook staff as a Regional Scouting Director in the South Carolina area.

Very few athletes are considered ‘blue chip’ recruits; therefore, it is important for the majority of high school football players to get some sort of assistance with the recruiting process.  With this new partnership, we will gear our efforts towards educating recruits on the college recruiting process, while continuing to provide an opportunity for recruits to maximize their recruiting exposure through competition.

“Getting a college scholarship is something every high school athlete dreams of.  The problem most athletes and their parents face is turning that dream into a reality.  With this partnership we are combining two businesses that excel in their markets, ultimately making it easier for the athlete to gain exposure,” says Al Woods, Director of Scout Development at RecruitLook.com.

About Cory Boyd:

Cory Boyd was a highly touted recruiting coming out of high school (top #15 by Rivals), so he knows what it is like to tackle the college recruiting process.  Boyd played for legendary coaches Lou Holtz and Steve Spurrier while at South Carolina.  He finished ranked 10th all time in Gamecocks rushing with 2,267 total yards and 9th all time in yards receiving with 1,283 total yards.  Boyd finished with 28 touchdowns in his 4 seasons at South Carolina University.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the 283rd overall pick drafted Boyd in 2008.  He would have NFL stints with the Buccs and Denver Broncos, but his best success came in the Canadian Football League (CFL).  In his first year in the CFL with the Toronto Argonauts, he rushed for 1,359 yards and another 363 yards receiving.  Boyd received several post-season honors including being named the CFL’s toughest player, the Argonauts’ most outstanding player, and was also nominated to the CFL East All-Star Team.  Boyd has put his football knowledge and connections to good use; he started CB3 Athletics in 2008 to host football combines and showcases for youth and high school athletes.

“I look forward to helping high school athletes while with RecruitLook, and I further look forward to partnering CB3 Athletics with the RecruitLook Showcase Series.” –Cory Boyd
