Bill Haley's Comets with opening act Comedian Dave Konig to appear at The Broadway Theatre of Pitman

PITMAN, N.J. - Jan. 8, 2015 - PRLog -- Bill Haley and his Comets burst onto the music scene in the early 1950s and were the first group of musicians to bring rock and roll to the world’s attention.  Their single Rock Around the Clock was featured in the smash teen movie Blackboard Jungle in 1955 and became an instant number one hit.

Bill and the Comets starred in two of the first ever movies about the rock music revolution, Rock Around the Clock and Don’t Knock the Rock. The Comets began touring the globe and creating hit singles such as Shake, Rattle & Roll, See Ya Later Alligator, Rip It Up, Rock the Joint and Crazy Man Crazy. As their fame increased, their catchy music was featured prominently in movies throughout the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the popular TV show Happy Days.
