A Father and Teacher Sets Goal to Become Cycling Champion

VAIL, Colo. - Jan. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Samuel Bennett of Vail, CO, has recently launched a project focusing on cycling, nutrition and his own ambitious goal to become a national cycling champion within 2 years of starting his cycling career.  The project is a cycling blog (http://www.samuelwbennett.com/index.html) that seeks to inform aspiring cyclists about proper training, nutrition and also to allow readers to follow Samuel’s struggle to reach the National Cycling Championships.

Specifically, Samuel's goal is to become a national cycling champ.  He started cycling a mere 16 months ago now he is determined to become the 35 year old masters time trial champion this next September 2015.  Why will he be successful than all the other 30+ year old dudes with kids trying to become ‘pro’?  He is tough, has grit and it turns out he has a natural aptitude (https://twitter.com/samuelwbennett/status/547406043592941568/photo/1) for endurance sports.  In addition, he will be training with world-class trainers (http://minturnfitnesscenter.com/) and coaches in the Vail Valley.

Samuel Bennett is originally from Santa Barbara, CA where he spent 7 years in graduate school (University of California, Santa Barbara) and authored several peer-reviewed (http://scholar.google.com/schhp?hl=en&as_sdt=0,6) academic papers.  Before graduate school, Samuel spent his time surfing California, Hawaii and Mexico.  Samuel and his wife are raising three small children in the Colorado Rockies.  He is now the upper school science teacher at the Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy (http://www.skiclubvail.org/academics/about-vssa), the academic partner of Ski Club Vail.
