ATLANTA - Jan. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Non-profit organization, Go Eat Give, and the Mexico Tourism Board have joined together to create a serious of events highlighting regional Mexican culture, cuisine, music, and travel opportunities. This series will begin on January 24th 2015 and will educate guests about the Yucatán region.

Go Eat Give, founded by international food and travel writer, Sucheta Rawal, strives to promote cultural awareness and global experiences for Atlanta’s diverse population. Through its widely attended Destination Dinners, Go Eat Give offers people an opportunity to experience a new country, without having to leave town. At the event, a speaker from Yucatan’s Tourism Board will present on the history and culture of the Yucatán region and a live mariachi band will perform folk music. Destination Mexico’s menu will focus on the cuisine of the Yucatán region to include favorites as tostadas de tinga de pollo, pescado Veracruz, chevich, and tamales de Oaxaca. For those interested in history and production of tequila, there will be a tequila tasting lesson led by an instructor prior to the dinner event.

Go Eat Give founder and executive director, Sucheta Rawal, will travel to the Yucatán region prior to the event to explore the region and learn more about its food and customs. Rawal shares about her interest in Mexico, stating, “Mexico is such a diverse country offering a variety of sub cultures. I am very excited about not only visiting some of these lesser-known areas, but sharing those experiences through Go Eat Give’s blog and destination events.”

Destination Mexico will be held on Saturday, January 24th at 7:00pm at No Mas Cantina (180 Walker St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30303). The event will be an opportunity for Atlanta residents to spend an evening learning, eating, drinking, and having fun.
